Concrete vase series by Sergei Makhno

I came across this article by Jamie Derringer on design milk and immediately adored the surface texture and tones of this series by Sergey Makhno. Of course there's also the math behind the names and forms as well.

The name, the Invariants, refers to mathematical objects that do not change during transformations. This is also of course a reference to the stoic quality of the cement vases.
